Wellbeing Check-in
A moment for you. There are no wrong answers here.
Small things that often help
Would a glass of water help?
It’s a small thing that quietly lifts energy and concentration. One now, perhaps — the kettle can wait a minute.
Have you moved around today?
A walk to the window, a stretch, a potter round the garden — it all counts. Ten little wanders beat one big march.
Is there one small thing you’d like to do next?
Just one — watering a plant, sending a message, opening the post. Your Daily Routine page can hold it for you.
Would you like a calming breathing prompt?
Settle back in your chair, and let your shoulders drop.
- Breathe in slowly through your nose, counting to four.
- Breathe out even more slowly, counting to six.
- Do this four times, at your own pace.
- Then notice one thing nearby you’re glad is there.
You can come back to this as often as you like.
If things feel too heavy
This check-in is a gentle habit, not medical care. If you’re struggling, please talk to your GP, call NHS 111, or ring Samaritans free on 116 123 — any hour, any day. In an emergency, call 999.
